Exquisite taste is woven through “dialogue.”

Our steaks consist of only the most tender middle of domestically-raised black Wagyu fillets; this is the Yutaka way. Thickly-cut steaks are gently steamed and grilled on a teppan over a bed of garlic, melting the fat. The surprising tenderness and delicate flavor of the meat melting in your mouth are truly remarkable.

Through conversation, we gather information about each customer's mood and preferences, recommending the most suitable options for the day. This is part of Yutaka’s hospitality.
We not only arrange our dishes and cook our meat to perfection, but we also carefully discern each piece of meat’s unique texture and expression. We also provide a diverse selection of wines, primarily from France, to enrich the dining experience. Wine pairing is also one of Yutaka’s pleasures.

MAMORU TAKADA

Second-generation owner chef of Steakhouse Yutaka, established in 1962. Following in the footsteps of his father, the previous owner, he entered the culinary world after high school. He became the owner at a young age, after taking over the Gion branch at the age of 24. He upholds his father's philosophy that "cooking is a conversation" and considers delighting customers as the most important aspect of cooking. With a discerning eye for meat, he has earned the loyalty of many long-time customers.
